“The newest proposed tariffs on imports from the Trump Administration have the potential to increase the cost of operations across biotechnology companies, thus threatening crucial innovations. New York is home to companies developing treatments and cures for patients across the globe, and the proposed tariffs affecting imports from all countries, particularly those from China and Europe, could threaten this important work. While we support the incentivization of manufacturing medicines here in America, we know that this cannot happen overnight and requires thoughtful solutions to produce safe, effective, and equitable treatments for patients.”
